Watts is pleased to announce the launch of the VULCAIN vulcanised-liner butterfly valve, engineered for long-term reliability, energy efficiency, and high performance across modern HVAC systems.

Designed with a permanently bonded EPDM liner, VULCAIN delivers complete corrosion and wear protection while eliminating seat movement. This ensures consistent, leak-free sealing and extended service life, offering a significant performance advantage over traditional loose-liner valve designs. In addition, the vulcanised liner construction enhances the valve’s ability to withstand negative pressure conditions, maintaining sealing integrity even under vacuum or reverse pressure scenarios.

The valve features an optimised, thermally efficient body profile, extended insulation-friendly neck, and low-torque, high-performance disc, enabling energy-efficient operation and reliable flow control even in high-velocity HVAC circuits. With a service pressure rating of 16 bar, VULCAIN is built to perform in demanding environments.

A universal oblong flange design supports both wafer and U-shape configurations, simplifying installation and reducing inventory complexity. The valve is also fully compatible with manual, gearbox, and actuated configurations via ISO 5211 mounting, ensuring flexible integration across a wide range of applications.

Manufactured using premium GGG40, CF8M stainless steel, and EPDM materials, and compliant with EN 593, EN 12266-1, EN 1092-1/2, and EN 558 Series 20, the VULCAIN valve guarantees reliability, interchangeability, and long-term system compatibility.

“VULCAIN represents a major step forward in butterfly valve design for HVAC systems,” said Valentin Donzel, Associate Product Manager at Watts. “Its bonded liner technology, thermal efficiency, and maintenance-free construction provide customers with a durable, high-performance solution that reduces lifecycle costs and improves system reliability.”

The VULCAIN range is available in multiple configurations:

  • Wafer type: DN50–DN600
  • Lug type: DN50–DN600
  • U-shape type: DN150–DN600
